Brewers Farm Report
In the midst of the Ryan Braun suspension there were highlights among the Brewers’ affiliates including the seven RBI game by Wisconsin’s Victor Roache and recall of outfielder Khris Davis to take the spot of Braun.
Just moments after the completion of Milwaukee’s game and within an hour of Davis belting the game-winning home run in Nashville – he was recalled to Milwaukee.
Davis collected four RBI (37) and his decisive home run gives him 13 for the season with Triple A Nashville.
ROACHE – WISCONSIN
Victor Roache belted two home runs and collected seven RBI in Single A Wisconsin’s tough 10-9 loss at Dayton. After Roache smacked a three-run shot in the first and followed up with a grand slam in the second inning, it was all Dayton.
Two relievers struggled to maintain the victory and the floodgates opened in the bottom of the eighth inning when Dayton posted four runs.
Roache’s two home runs is the first for a Rattler since Huntsville outfielder Chadwin Stang in 2012 when he was with the club.
The 2012 First-Round draft pick has heated up considerably in the last week and a half batting .364 with six home runs and 14 RBI in ten games.
Roache has reached base safely in nine of the last 11 games and leads the team with 14 home runs, six ahead of Tyrone Taylor.
In addition, he has surpassed Taylor for the team-lead in RBI with 53.
RATTERREE – HELENA
Michael Ratterree extended his hitting streak to 13 games in Helena’s 8-3 win at Ogden Monday night and batted 1-for-5.
Fellow draftee Omar Garcia has stolen 13 bases on the season collecting two in the victory for the Pioneer League Brewers.
